Responsibilities:
Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other issues.
Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
Update internal databases with order details (dates, vendor information, etc.
).
Assist Buyers with creating purchase orders and follow-up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders.
Resolve invoice issues related to price or quantity.
Prepare and run various department reports on orders and inventory.
Actively participate in various continuous improvement projects, cost savings, and LEAN initiatives.
Participate in cross functional projects.
Liaise with shipping and receiving staff to ensure all products ship out and arrive.
Qualifications:
1 to 2 years of purchasing or customer service experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, 365, and Teams Understanding of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
Ability to manage communications, messages, organization of data, and documentation of interpersonal interactions with colleagues, vendors, and customers.
